THANK YOU!!!

TODAY PAGANS AGAINST ABUSE HIT 400 FRIENDS!!!

That is so exciting to me.

Our network base includes authors (New York Times best selling authors! Including Laurell K Hamilton who joined herself!), musicians, artists, shops, individual, festivals, DJs, models, survivors, PTSD survivors, shelters, gay pride, pagan pride, clergy, and so many other strange and wonderful niches who are constantly sharing information, stories, inspiration, support, it is humbling to be a part of it and to see it growing.  A full 1/2 of the number has happened in the last month!

There are literally no racial barriers over there and frankly there are no spiritual barriers (we even have Christians who are supporting us and our goals!) or political ones (libertarians and republicans have joined as well, because we share a common goal!).

Just WOW!  For all of you who have joined and are showing your support just by having us on your friends list, thank you so very much.  For all of you who have joined our community here thank you as well, we will try to be more active there as well.  I've just been busy trying to keep on top of welcomes on MySpace.

The Silent Majority-Men and Domestic Violence

Current statistics tell us that 1 in 4 women in America are touched by domestic violence in their life times.  World wide that stat drops to 1 in 3.

Statement of Basic Human Rights

One of our members had been given this by their therapist whilst healing from Domestic Violence.  I too received a copy of it when I first went into shelter.  I thought it would be a great sentiment to share here.

We Can Not Give Up

Yes, this IS personal

This was originally posted to Pagans Against Abuse in 2007. I am a survivor of domestic violence.  I have been speaking at community colleges, and various other organizations for about ten years.  It is my way of giving back for all the help my children and I have been given.  I hope to share more survivor stories, along with much of the other information we will post here.

A story of healing!

Lets start off here with a story of healing!

A member of nonwiccanwitch shared her story, and we'd like to pass it on. We all need stories of inspiration and hope to buoy us when storms toss us about! The following is a description from thinkbettersick's ezine.

Welcome!!

We are so glad you stopped by!

You might be wondering what this is all about.  Well, I am a survivor.  I started a MySpace group several years ago, and it has grown slowly over that time to become an information clearinghouse of sorts.  There is always new research appearing, and we've made great connections there.  We want to share those connections with you here.  Eventually, I suppose we'll have a Facebook page, but one step at a time.

We will be bringing over some of the same articles we have in our blog.  Together we can make the world a better place by sharing education, statistics, and resources.

Bright Blessings!
